What these are

These are the terms for using the Lampworth app and this website. They are an agreement between you and Erhan Ilhan, the individual in the United Kingdom who makes Lampworth ("we"). If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.

Your licence to use the app

You get the app from Apple's App Store, and Apple's standard licence for apps applies to it: the Licensed Application End User License Agreement. In short: you may use Lampworth on the Apple devices you own or control.

What Lampworth does, and what it cannot promise

  • Lampworth helps you set times when the apps and websites you choose rest on your family's iPhone or iPad. It works through Apple's Screen Time, so it can do only what Apple's system allows.
  • No tool can promise that a rule is never got round, or that a child is safe online. Lampworth is a help for parents, not a replacement for them: you remain responsible for supervising your child.
  • Lampworth is for parents and guardians, on their own family's devices. It must not be used to watch or control another adult.

Price

What is in the app today is free. Paid versions (Pro and Max) are planned; they will have their own terms, shown with the full price before you can buy anything.

Changes

We may improve or change the app and this website, and we may stop offering them. If a change makes Lampworth work in a different way for you, we will say so in the app or on this site.

If something goes wrong

We make Lampworth with care. If the app damages your device or other digital content because we did not use reasonable care and skill, you may be entitled to a repair or to compensation. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing takes away the rights you have as a consumer.

Beyond that, because the app is provided free of charge, we are not liable for losses that we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for business losses.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
